Eyelid Lift Richmond

Published on August 24, 2019

The eyelid lift, also called blepharoplasty, is performed to help improve the appearance of the upper and lower eyelids. As we get older many of us see our first signs of aging in the delicate skin around the eyes–lines, creases, wrinkles, puffiness and sagging can make us look like we are constantly sleep deprived, whether we are or not! Our eyes are one of the most communicative features of our face–we speak volumes through our eyes, they are the windows to our soul after all! So, when skin around our eyes is making us look worn out and run down, we may be communicating to world something we don’t want.

The eyelid lift may be performed on just the upper eyelid, just the lower eyelid, or both and upper and lower eyelids at the same time. In some cases, the eyelid lift may be performed in combination with other facial rejuvenation procedures such as a brow lift, botox, or dermal fillers. If you are interested in learning more about the eyelid lift procedure and recovery process, and to find out if it may be right for you, contact our office to schedule your consultation with Dr. McKeown today.
