Is JUVÉDERM® right for me?
JUVÉDERM® Injectable Gel is a safe and natural cosmetic dermal filler that restores volume and fullness to skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds and vertical lip lines.
JUVÉDERM® Injectable Gel is a smooth gel filler made of non-animal-based hyaluronic acid, which already exists in the human body.
What happens during a JUVÉDERM® injection?
JUVÉDERM® Injectable Gel, because of its natural formula, does not require a skin test. The gel is injected just below the surface of the skin in tiny amounts using a very fine needle. The hyaluronic-based gel adds natural volume and lift, which smoothes and diminishes wrinkles and folds. Treatments typically take 15-20 minutes to perform after the skin has been numbed for approximately 45 minutes prior to injection.

What can I expect post-injection?
No recovery time or downtime is needed after the treatment session. JUVÉDERM® Injectable Gel results are immediately visible and can last up to one year. Factors such as the patient’s age and skin type will affect how long JUVÉDERM® Injectable Gel treatments results are sustained.
Most patients require only one injection to obtain optimal results. Occasionally, additional treatments may be required to achieve the patient’s desired outcome.
For the best results, we ask that patients refrain from use of aspirin and aspirin like products, vitamin E and fish and/or garlic oil 7-10 days prior to the procedure. Taking these from your diet prior to will decrease your chance of bruising and optimize your result.
